While the Kate Spade line of bags and purses is relatively new (it began a little over a decade ago), the name has already become very well known. Started by Andy and Kate Spade, the line of bags has one very distinctive feature: the Kate Spade bags are some of the simplest and uncomplicated bags available. The Kate Spade brand rocketed to success, but the Spades didn’t stop there. The company has 15 of their own stores across the US, plus they’ve partnered with huge department stores to distribute their bags. Recently, Kate Spade has even expanded its various offerings to include sheets, wallpaper, beauty products, stationery, shoes, various other types of bags and luggage, and even tableware. While Kate Spade started as an independent company, today Neiman Marcus is the majority owner of the company.
